Have you ever noticed that it will be windy in Indio and La Quinta, but as soon as you are in Palm Desert, near 111, the wind has suddenly died down.

yes. No doubts some areas are windier than others.
In the middle of yesterdays sand storm I saw a Porsche Carrera GT at the corner of Washington and 111 !
Thats a half a million dollar car getting sand blasted.

The wind can surely hurt ya out here. I-10 gets a little squirly with the crosswinds on the way to the river.

Bummer! I have to drive from Phoenix to Anaheim in 2 weeks. I hate this time of year. My Expedition is not very aerodynamic in wind. :(

STOP BEING A PUSS, ITS AN ABRASIVE FACE PEEL...:D hey i like the way that the 62 is the first to notice the wind, you can tell when windy season is about to start by the overturned mobile office thats usually on the 62, and yep there was one there yeasterday and its still there today:D gotta love the coachella valley:D
