Very small and crowded compared to Don Pedro or New Melones which are also in the immediate area. Many private homes on the water add to the lake traffic, been there before would not go back.

Tulloch doesn't have too many camp grounds, one maybe two. But theres a ton of houses.
If you want to camp on the water try New Hogan. They have a lot of spots on the water. Plus a lot less boats on the weekend.

Long, Narrow and over croweded due to the houses built on the water. I would go to Melones before I would go to Tulloch.

Crazy busy and can be very dangerous on holiday weekends. Bar is fun. Speed limit is 45 mph. Just my $.02.

Its way to crowded and small, the only reason to go is if you owned a house on the water. Ten minutes away you can go to lake New Melones its a very nice lake.

Everything the crew said is pretty true, but..... South end by the damn they have 1 bedrooms cabins for rent, on the water cheap. Pretty low traffic over there and great swimming for the kids.
about half of the lake is 5mph (housing area, and past the bridge north end) So the tubers, boarders and skiiers chop up the rest real bad.
East end, past the 5mph and the houses is great for lunch and swimming, that side is pretty quite because it takes a while idleing through the 5 zone.
I had a good time at the cabins, water sports will frustrate you, swimming and drinking should go great.

Totally stock, four speed, dual quad, positraction, 409. Go ahead, sing along, you know you want to. A real muscle car era survivor, a rare animal these days.

Camped at Tulloch once about 15 years ago. Took a quick boat ride before breakfast and figured we would check out the rest of the lake after breakfast.
Turns out that was the rest of the lake.
To may nice lakes in that area. Don Pedro, Mclure, And Melones. If you go to Melones take a cruise up the river as far as it's safe. It gets real pretty with grannit cliffs and nice scenery.

A field car is a car you drive at a ranch with high clearance when we were in school we called them crop dusters.
