Thought I would post some pics of strut brace pops made. I'm not sure if it's strong enough? :jawdrop:

If less is more, just think how much more "MORE" would be. If for nothing else you have piece of mind knowing that your strut is not going anywhere.

I'm not 100% sure, but I'd guess that it ain't going anywhere.

Thanks for the reassurance. My dad and brother wanted it to be strong. The cool thing about it is the center brace. There is a hole bored in the back of the mount that allows it to be bolted together from the inside. When we take it back a part I will try to get a pic. Just about got the vdrive mounted and the plate cut out will post pics when completed. My brother would be signing on himself, but he and my dad have been burning the midnight oil to get this thing done.

That is some beautiful machine work and rigging. Having said that though, are the plates going to be dowel pinned to the center blocks? The bolts will be plenty strong enough in shear but wouldn't there be the possibility of movement without an interlocking feature or some type of dowels? Not to put it down in any way, it's a work of art but I am incapable of not thinking like an engineer.

Yep definately going to need some dowels.. LOL
And I think he should run heims in between all the 90 degree angles to triangulate it up a bit and up tension on everything..
Yep.... Yes sirree Bob, gonna need some Heims up in here..
