I have a buddy with a 23ft baja with the 6.2 merc.
Great running and sounding motor.
Exceptional fuel mileage and runs 55 loaded all day every day with no maintainence issues. Reliable as could be.
I'd buy this boat if I hadn't just bought a bigger RV.

Yes, the 6.2 is an AWESOME engine. One can run this thing hard all day long and not have a problem, plus you can head out the next day without refueling. We run 61.8 on GPS with a full tank, two people and coolers.

I learned yesterday that Fountain has a line (model...series?) called Lightning but this boat is made by the manufacturer, Lightning Powerboats. They use to be owned by Ultra (www.ultraboats.com) is my understanding.
There's a boat on Ultra's site in the image gallery that looks like ours but does not nearly look as good (IMHO) as far as the fade goes.

The reason the fade on the Ultra does not look like yours is because that color is called Blood Red. It is a solid color to be sprayed with no fade or blend. This boat was done with no fade and blend purposely. What you have is called Midnight Cherry.
Nice boat. I think Joel Casillas sprayed your boat.

You could always look at the Ultra 24 Stealth now that this one is gone. More freeboard with a cuddy and a great bottom design.:idea:

Not for under $50k, but remember they all have a minimum of a 496 Mag. You would be surprised on a couple. There are actually two nice blue 06's for sale on here that are loaded.
