Hey I saw a couple pics of boats with more than 1 remote for their boat.
(the type you put on the back of your boat)
Do you splice them together?
Is there any problems with it?

I have 2 access technologies remotes with one being on the transom and it has not worked for me. I think maybe it got messed up from water hitting it in the upper part of my step.

They have Y cables, and you just daisy chain them together. I was running three on my last boat.

I installed a Remote on the swim deck and by the helm... I used a Y Cable
Y-Adapter for Clarion M301RC / M202RC Marine Remotes Just get the Y cable for your remote... No Cut- they just plug together

Hey Good Info Thread I Was Going To Look For One Of These This Weekend...got One In The Cockpit But Wanted To Put One Out On The Swim Deck...cool Chit!!

Having one on the swim deck is great for beaching as well as washing the boat at home. No more climbing back and forth in the boat.

just a FYI i hit up ebay for my remote and acc's.. i got my matching led remote, Y-cable, and 24" extention(all clarion stuff) = $162 thats delivered to the door...just wanted throw out EBAY for some future shoppers...

I like those Clarion remotes alot but will they only work with Clarion decks? Will they work on my alpine head unit?

I have a sony head unit with unilink. Do the remotes just daisychain? Do they come with enough wire to reach from the swim platform to the cabin? I had the Head Unit in the cabin, I want to install one remote at the captains chair and one on the transom.

that sony remote is nice..you should only need the y-cable, cable extension and 12v for the led to reach the back of the boat...simple install did mine in a couple hrs...the only nervy thing for me was drilling out the hole for the remote control:eek:
