just had my prop seviced and noticed i have a hairline crack at the rear base of my strut can it be welded or beefed up?? :mad: :mad:

That is who is going to make your NEW strut. The one you have is done man. Replace it!

Are they made custom order off old one and who would do it?? probaly be wise to get beefed up one and is there more stress on a hydro strut??

One other suggestion. When you get your new strut made, have them weld your old strut and put it in the trailer. Murphy's Law. You should never need it.

weld it......thats how they originally did it.if you are worried about "crystailizing" the strut from to much heat then replace and use the old one as a spare and build a new one....

If you do weld it, make sure its true. I tried having one welded, lost a strut, a rudder, 1/2 my plates, an engine and had to get my Lifeline re-certified.
