Hi All,
I am putting together a 383 stroker for my 21 Bahner but in the mean time I have been messing around with the stock Mercruiser/ Chev 350 260HP motor. I have actually had a good time screwing around with hop up stuff and different props. So far I have got some pretty amazing results with simple bolt on's, just goes to show you want you can do these day's with the parts available.
Here's what I have done so far:
Thru hull exhaust using GLM Aluminum exhaust with individual exhaust runners inside. 4" risers with four inch exhaust all the way through to the tips.
Edelbrock performer EPS (this manifold seems to work very good)
Holley 600cfm 4160 converted with 4150 meter block and rejetted with 63's in the front 66's in the secondaries.
Compcams 268H
and that's it...this thing really woke up from it's humble beginnings.
Anyone want to give me SWAG at the horsepower this thing has now?
Thanks!

Almost every build I've seen with that cam and stock type heads is 315-330hp at 4800-5000rpm. I can't guess for the exhaust.

I would say that's right on. With those mods I bet you picked up a noticeable midrange increase. It would seem that motor is pretty efficient with that jetting in the carb. I've got 72P, 80S, in my 750 4150 and it likes the fuel especially when you open the secondaries.

Thanks for the input guy's, not a major "gear head" question but I was just curiuos. Like I said it has actually been fun and I have had my 12 year old son doing the project with me, that has been intertaining in itself. If you guy's don't have a kid that can get into tight spaces and fetch tools rent one!:D One item that I forgot to mention was the Pertronix billet disty and coil. I am playing around with the advance curve and plug gaps now, we'll see if that does anything.
Hopefully if there is anyone out there that is thinking of adding some boost to their stocker without breaking the bank this combo will help them out.

cfm,
thanks for posting up those specs. I had searched everywhere and could not locate them.
