The 270HP has 10 more HP than the 260!!! For more top end speed, push the throttle down all the way. How is this for technical help?
Let me know if you need more help!!!

The diffence between the two models will be in the forged crank and some other hardened interals just like the current 350 MAG which produces 300 HP. I believe to upgrade this model you can change the intake manifold & carbs or maybe even just some jetting work to get a little more bang for cheep. I believe Edelbrock & Holley make new intake manifolds for this motor.
There are several postings on this topic, you may want to search both this board, and the Outdrive tech posting... http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

Monte-
I was obviously having some fun and trying to use some humor. I didn't mean to offend you in any way. May need to relax a tad.
