Apparently Schiada has one that is for sale- I believe it is a 21', it is on a triple trailer but it doesn't have an engine in it-maybe they are selling it with an engine though. A pic of it is on havasubarney.com, under readers ride "on the top line posted by superdave013"-click it and then follow the pictures down: one is superdave013's getting redone, and the other is the one for sale. sd013 said it was the one at the LA boat show a couple years ago. Its sick- check it out!

Well, I didn't say all that. I think Hufferpower is the one that gave the scoop on the boat. I just posted the pic. It is very very nice looking I will say that. I guess you would just have to talk to Lee to get the real scoop on it. I don't think the trailer goes with it but could be wrong.

to the best of my knowledge the 21 is still for sale,its about 33% complete,it does not have a trailer,cav plate is on,the owner ran out of money to complete,lee can give you all the specs,the colors are really clean when you see it in person.

R20's, the boat is 33% complete. It does have the strut dealio in it and cav plates.. He's selling it for 22K. Call Lee up and he'll give you the specifics.. BTW 22k is a "tad" high for it..

Dave, Lee has around a two year wait for a new boat. So it's kind of a supply and damand type of thing. If you want one you gotta pay the price or get something else. That boat is a brand new one that has never been wet. So they are asking big bank for it. Is it worth it? Well, it kinda weeds out guys like me and you. When I bought mine the guy that sold it told me that everyone would think I'm rich. I didn't belive it but he was right. People think I'm rich and I have a 24 year old boat! I will try to post some pictures on here of it....1976 22ft V-Drive 454 Turbo 400 It looks identical to the Hustlers boat. Yellow. I hate to tell you guys what I paid for it!!!LOL

it's like this "you get what ya pay for",thats why all the pristine schiada's hold thier value,just before i bought my dad's 21,1981,250 blower,468 motor,v-drive,he had a couple at windsor beach offer him 40k cash to buy it,he just smiled,the guy wanted it so bad,his new 21 v-drive,brummett 572 aspirated powered is the newest 21 v-drive schiada has built,80k will get you one,so 22k for the partial built is a deal,considering whats been done,a good motor will cost no less than 15k.i hope this summer to see a few of you at havasu or local phoenix lakes,yes i am a proud schiada owner,as is my dad...just my .02 cents,scott.

jrocket,will try again to post pics,only one to post has been the unfinished schiada.my 21 is white interior,white base,yellow pin,red/orange coloring.my dads is all white interior,white base,3 maroons,fading grays,fine black pin.interior in mine is all original,putting new lite gray 40oz carpet in rite now,get my heads back next week from brummett,just added new schiada remote oil filter adapter fwd of mtr mount,turned out sweet,all my anodizing is red,my dads is silver anodized,real lite gray carpet.see ya at havasu or local phoenix lakes to say hi,scott.. p.s they both are really cool rides.

Well Huffy,I will pay whatever is a fair price for the boat.Im not paying alot for one's idea of a nice boat.If I think it's worth it I will pay it.With out trying to sound like Im some rich guy,which I am definately not,Ill be able to spend what I need to.As for wanting one,If a steal of a deal comes along Ill be REAL interested.Until the unbelieveable deal comes along Im gonna be looking for a color scheme I like.And for the young comment,I appreciate that one.I owe ya one.

jrocket,you may want to check with bob teague and alexi from boostpower,they may have some inside scoop on who's got a real clean 21 for sale thats not publically up for sale.the owner of fel-pro gaskets had i think it was an 84,454 set up,lite tan color for sale a while back,he's down in parker,i think he has 5 schiada's total,you might also check with carson brummett. good luck, scott.

Steve did a great job on the boat. I dont know why he wants to sell it. If that was a new Howard 25 same boat as (SPECTRA 24) or a Hallett 240 (same designer Bud Bailey) the starting price would be $60,000.00.
I would say for $24,000.00 its a steal.
I went to the boat show this past weekend and the boats under $30,000.00 were a joke, who has ever heard of Cobra & Laser, give me a break.

Huffpower,no problem.In the beginning I was gonna buy a used DCB Mach26 from Dave but somebody beat me to it.He was asking 75k for it.I have always wanted a Schiada river cruiser.A friend of mine picked up a clean twin turboed one for a great deal.So now Im looking for the ultimate deal just like everyone else.The only problem is that I never get those deals.So I would like to keep it between 30k and 70k.Its kind of a big margine but like I said,If I really like it.Im gonna get it.
There's a guy that goes to Parker now and then that has the actuall boat I want.It is base white with blue stripes and a little yellow thin line that out lines the blue.It used to run with out an engine cover but the last time I saw it it had a hard fiberglass cover with scoop on it.I remember the motor to be a large c.i. carburated motor,no blower.He told me that he works or used to work for Lee part time.He was hanging around with the guy that has the quad rotor whipple motor in a red Schiada.So too make a long story short,if I like it I will have to pay the price.......I remeber Lee telling me that the guy that owned the red Schiada just built it and wanted to sell it.Lee said he had 120k or so in it.Then somebody said he wanted around 85k for it.Just a little out of my league.Nice boat though.Anyway,keep up the interest for me.............Thanks Johnny Rocket

burt,you and ron sold my mom/dad thier first schiada back in 1981,white exterior,red,reddishorange,fine yellow pin,all white iterior,no rear bench,made two jump seats in rear with side bench seats into the two front buckets,well my wife and i bought it from my mom/dad last dec,my mom/dad have the newest 21 v-drive lee has built,572 brummett power,i've got a 468 with 250 blower. my mom/dad are ed&pat,maybe you remember them,we should be at the v-drive regatta in july.scott
