Im just curious. What does lightened gears mean? I know they have the holes in them. Is this just to make them light weight? Or is there some other purpose?

Dan, plus when you cary 10 to 15 sets to the races there a lot lighter. They have cut outs in each side smaller than the gear and larger than spline. Then they also have holes drilled in them.

The lighter the gear assembly the quicker the motor to prop response.....So I've been told..... :D :D :D

Yes, anything that reduces rotating mass will allow your engine to rev-up quicker resulting in faster acceleration. That's why we run flexplates instead of heavy flywheels.
