Whats better?

Logs with 2 7/8 exhaust or stock merc headers with 4 in axhaust?
Is there any benefit to switching them out?
Any more performance?
Its going on a stock 454

If your stock 454 is anything like mine WAS (dual-plane iron intake and .472/.480" lift short duration cam) then gains will be IMO, minimal.
On the other hand, they will give you room to make use of other potential future upgrades like my Performer RPM Air Gap and .565" lift 280* duration cam.
If you aren't getting a sweet deal on them, consider just stepping all the way to Lightning headers, Thru-Transom. Netted me 50HP, to the already modded engine, 200 RPM to an Aggressor B (Berk A cut).
$1800 new, plus 4" outlets.

A buddy of mine has them. Im sure he wont charge me too much. But i already have a rpm intake man and full msd and a new holley 750. My logs are leaking and i want them out. so i thought these would be better. also i dont have the money for a $1800 set of headers.:(

Not to hijack the thread, but what exhaust gaskets should I use on my Indmar's that I am upgrading to from logs? Brendan
