Something to think about if you have a router that isnt password protected.

You should password protect your router, change the password from the standard that it is shipped with to a strong password, combination of a minimum of 8 characters and numbers. Also, you can lock down access to your router by allowing connections only from computers with a MAC address that is on the allowed list. Although MAC addresses can be spoofed it is at least one other layer of security. Also, set your router so that it does not broadcast its existence to anyone with a wireless card, again just an additional layer of security. These are all router configuration settings BTW...A good firewall should also be installed...

If everyone protected their wireless routers...then how would I get internet access? :D
