My buddy had one got one of the last boats from Bahner and it had to be rigged and finished by Eliminator. I think thats the tie you were thinking of. Eliminator played "clean up" on the last boats to come out of there to help keep the customers happy.

As far as I know, they're good boats. Ive heard more bad things about how the company went south and they "borrowed" parts from boats that were in for repairs to finish other boats. My buddy lost a nice prop that way. He had an '83 or '84 21ish open bow small block I/O....he dug it.
Enjoy it!!!

I had one and loved it, mine was a 87 19ft with a N2O chevy. Tommy P helped me set it up RIP, If I never had gotton married and had kids I would still have that boat.

I had a 18' flatdeck, 1978 version and loved it. Not the most pratical boat for an entire weekend at Powell, but probably one of the funnest if not the funnest toy I've ever owned. Good boat.

I have owned two now and loved both of them. If you do a search under "Bahner" you will find alot of info on here as the history etc has been discussed many times.
Good luck:D

love mine! i have heard different storys about each one and how they were setup. it depends on how they were feeling on the day they made each boat. if they were having a bad day then that boat wasnt as good as maybe the next boat they built. full stringers are a must if you have any kind of hp or you will be in rough h20. mine is pushing 730hp w/berk jg pump runs good in heavy chop.

We had a 1982 21' closed bow and it was a really good boat. The owner got into trouble and closed the business in the late 80's. I am pretty sure that Ultra used a few of their molds for the 21 LX or XT. The Nada guide can tell you the last year they were produced and if the one you have is in good condition then IMO it's worth keeping.
