I had a 455 Olds in a Kona.... Loved that boat. Sold in 1991 as getting parts for it was a nightmare....But for 1k how can you go wrong...:D

I love my 455. Keepin' it under 4200 RPM and I believe it will run forever. You are right about the price - I wish there was some pics, I just might buy it myself!

sold it and its been in storage at bigproppas house for about 7 months.was only suppose to be there for a month or 2,interior was good nice bimini top ,new gages,and it was all sanded down.motor wont turn over.needs a rebuild i guess.Bill needs it gone.make em a offer.:jawdrop:

That's exactly what I'm striving for and I thought the same thing :D
BTW, 2 things I meant to ask (but it doesn't change anything; I'll be there tomorrow):
- What year is it?
- How many do you think it seats? I have my wife and 3 kids and, from the pics, I think we'll be OK.

Long story short: engine was rusted over; would not turn AT ALL (much water sitting in the cylinders rusted all over the heads, valves, etc); took apart and went to town; put back together, rebuilt carb, corrected wiring, removed 10 ft of ski rope from the pump shaft, etc, etc.
Ran it on Lake Hodges in San Diego last Sunday (with some friends in case I needed a tow but no tow was necessary); ran all day.
Now I need to do something about the hull (ugh!).

Thanks guys! I've wanted a boat for some time but just don't have the funds; when I saw this posted by BigProppa I figured this was the way to go; essentially it was complete but just needed some work and determination; as bad as I wanted to get on the water, the determination was built-in with me; my wife and I skiied a lot on the river in the 80's and really wanted to get our kids out there.
