The boat is coming along very nicely... Here are some recent pics of the plug as it will be prepared for its next phase...

primer, this is a wood plug (a mold will be made from this plug and boats will then be made from the molds)... does that help?

That actually looks like a plug, that being the case the color is dark so they can see the imperfection in the plug, with light sanding.
After the all the areas are finished, fared & true they will, wash, wax, and start layin gel-coat and glass to make a the production mold.

The design by Cobra is quite modern and stylish! Well Done!
Questions:
Who designed the running surface?... the business end if-you-will.
The strakes, the steps, notch etc... This is a big deal!
Or does this boat derive its running surface from a "proven" model?
Thanx!

You gonna go blue and yellow again? I went ahead and told Gary to begin building your motors. I hope you don't mind. He'll need a $20-grand deposit next week. I told him you were good for it. He just needs to know if you want blue, full polish, or BlackWidow. :D

This new Cobra, along with Howards new 34' or whatever Bullet and Shockwave's newly redesigned 34' will give us West Coat boaters some great options. ;)

Would really like my next boat to be in the 30' - 32' range, with a good-sized mid-cuddy and an open bow. The Cobra is shaping up nicely.

an open bow will be an option, lots of room for a large cuddy and still have open bow if you want...
