Well it has been a long road from May 25th 2006 untill now. I purchased a 75 18' Tahiti last May, total basket case. The only things that this boat had when I bought it was som old sw guages that were filled with water, steering wheel that the foam was rock hard , and a 455 olds that had not run in 12 years, but it did have new tires on the trailer.
This has been my project over the last year and is my first boat. The first thing i did after stripping her down to nuthin was replace all the wood with some brand new stuff. I then decided to start building a BBC to replace the 455. I then tore the berk jc pump down and ordered a rebuilt kit from Tom over a JBP. Painted the pump and put it back together. After the motor and the pump were put back together I started on the body work and preping for paint (this is not the fun part). Well I finally got some color on her and I thought I would post some pics of my project. Please keep in mind that i have done every bit of work on this boat my self, form the glass work to the paint. This was my first time doing alot of this stuff. Anyhow here are some before and after pics

Nah he'll be runnin' Pine Flat. Millerton wants too much to launch ($14!!!). With Pine Flat and all other AEC (Army Engineer Corps) lakes you can buy a $35 dollar annual pass and launch for free.
BTW 76, whereabouts are you located?

The rail kit is ALMOST ready to install. You'll have to trim the motor plates down to the correct height for proper shaft alignment since every boat is different.

Sweet restoration! What did you paint the inside with?

ironman44bear
04-23-2007, 01:55 PM
I painted the bilge w/ zolatone and then 3 coats of clear, the rest of the inside is left over sealer. I figured it would give the carpet a better surface to stick to.
