bigjohn was running well, but went out in a close one against chris. head over heels took pce, and either put a leg on the div 1 pgj et record, or reset it with a .75. didn't quite get the mph record though:)

Good to meet you up there BP. Congrats on the good finish. Those last couple finishes that you and Frank took were some of the closest all weekend.

The run was a 7.775 ... Old PGJ Index was 7.950.Very impressive! What can HOH run at other venues? Were they running as a PGJ or an UGJ? Did the index take a hit or was that .775 during TnT?

Good question/point ... Ray Flores has driven Paul & M's "HOH' in UGJ since that class was added a couple years back. At the start of Lakfest theUGJ Index was 7.940 ... their 7.775/132.82 was run in the first round of qualifying so I would think that the UGJ Index has been reset ... if so, that's about as quick as you'll ever see that boat run before it has a capsule added (7.700 Rule) ... whether or not they 'capsule up' is anybody's quess, but, while I'm doubtful they will ... it's possible.

i dunno. saw it run once, and henry came by a couple times. he indicated that it was a leg on the pgj record, but i really don't know other than that as i was too busy to pay much attention to what other people were doing. i caught a couple glimpses, while driving back to the pits, but that was about it.

You guys really get run ragged when you are winning! I wasn't even racing and i was exhausted. Maybe it was my damn flip flops that were coming apart that was wearing me out. You'll be happy to know that I went and bought another pair. I'll keep them in the boat though so I don't end up wearing them next time.

Chris i dont think the pgf record will be broken for a long time.It is around 7.40 something and a capsule would be needed to do so.
Shaun forest was running under pgf this weekend and ran very good into the 7.70s i think 7.73 as well as a 7.78 from the times posted he was running the quickest of the pgf field.

you just kept getting it better and better all weekend frank, and that was great. i think there's more to be had, but you'll probably want to slow it down for the next one. see ya in rb.
it was great meeting you skom.
robert, pgf national record is 7.50, held by jbg. but that's nowhere near the 6.90s jeff martin ran at b'field several years ago in flat nasty, the same weekend jbg was running 7.0's in the abyss. i have a time slip when i was in the other lane from jbg that weekend, when he went 7.13. i don't think anyone will ever come close to the runs those two made that weekend, or even attempt to, when that envelope was pushed to the limit.

The Hornet took care of business!!!
thats an understatement.
Jim put up a good fight and made for some real exciting racing on that first heat on sunday....since omar made the pit stop and the cucci idled out of the race.....jim and ralph went at it heads up for 4 laps and made for some great racing.
