Ok, I'm thinking about rolling out to Palm Springs this weekend and I'm wondering what hotel/resorts you guys recommend. I'm looking for a nice place with a bitchen pool to chill out at, and something close to, or in town. Where do you guys like to stay?

The Esmerelda is the happening joint. If it's not available, The Wyndham has a nice pool with cocktail service....it's where the beautiful people gather.

I'll be boozin' pool side Mother's Day weekend at Wyndham. You cant miss me, I'll be the drunk chick in the pink tu-tu and snowboots trolling for studs.

I was just there last weekend and stayed at the Viceroy. it was great it is small and quaint the villas are awesome as well as the normal rooms. They have three pools, two are adult only and lets just say the sights were pretty awesome. The only thing is the decor is kinda funky so check it out online to see if it suits your style, and by the way it is basically in the middle of downtown. One more suggestion is Hotel Zoso that place is very nice also

...if you are looking to stay in Palm Springs exclusively, stay at the Spa. Nice pool and bar, casino right there, and the steakhouse in the casino is fockin incredible which I swear rivals any known steakhouse! Good luck and have fun, the weather is awesome right now. If on your next trip you are looking for the quiet r&r thing let me know I have a couple rental units there :D

Regardless where you stay, Las Consuelas for Cadillac margaritas are a MUST. Then walk a couple doors down to The Village Pub for some live music. Nice man-candy in there, on most occassions....for all you fiesty bitches out there (or fiesty girlie men)

I noticed the owner of Roc's Firehouse Grill is a HB member. I've never been, may have to check it out in a couple weeks.

I second that, we were just there before x-mas. It's a five star resort and spa. Your own private casita with a fire place, top notch spa, world class golf (PGA West stadium course), what more could you ask for.;)

Thanks for the recommendationsfor Roc's Firehouse all y'all.
Back to the original question......where to stay.
IMO, Marriot Desert Springs can't be beat. Great place. My wife and I go there at least 4 times per year for a little "get away", and we live 10 minutes from there.
think about it............if Kokopeli AND myself recommend it, it's gotta be good, we live here and know the town very well. Ain't too many dirtbags hangin' at Marriot Desert Springs. Good for families or singles.
If'n ya decide to go to my place (10-15 minutes from the Marriot Desert Springs), let me know in advance. We'd love to meet ya and buy ya a beer.
Downtown Palm Springs can get a little colorful, as in rainbow. As a result, Palm Desert has become THE place to hang. Lemme know and lets have a beer.:D :D

I agree...Palm Springs is very gay....Palm Desert is a lot nicer.....and the Marriot Desert Springs is great! Hyatt Grand Champions in Indian Wells is also very nice.

The Spa is nice we usually stay there. We stayed at the Zoso (right across the street) last time and it was also nice. You can walk downtown from there. Big rooms with plasma TVs and the staff was great.

I've heard great things about Roc's Firehouse...of course it's from one of your buddies, but I wont hold that against ya. Hmm...maybe I should, he's one demented bastard, afterall he has voluntarily seen me naked.
