I heard the LB Northwoods was a big Mo hangout. The piano bar attracts the showtune connoissuers I guess.
Im quite the fag-hag. Im surprised I haven't investigated this one further.

Ahh the tri tip sandwich is the best! I love the garlic rolls they serve too.
Oh and for you tri tip guys in OC..
Theres a little whole in the wall place called Lous BBQ in HB off Victoria and Brookhurst that has awesome tri tip. I defiantly suggest you guys try it.

Alright... I've never seen it mentioned on HB before but I can't believe that there aren't any HB members that don't know about El Farolito in Placentia. If you like Mexican food, the Sandoval family is the be-all, end-all in that respect.
Been eating there my whole life (sometime 2 or 3 times a week) and still haven't found a Mexican food restaurant that comes close.

My favorite restaurant ever is La Paloma in Pomona (or maybe it's LaVerne). I've been going there since I was six years old. Really great food & great margaritas.

Kind of surprised about all the votes for Northwoods. I grew up close to the one in San Gabriel on Rosemead, I think it is average at best.
The Derby in Arcadia, Wood Ranch - any of them, El Encanto in Azusa was good - heard it closed, Casa Del Rey - any of them for Mexican, Pinnacle Peak in San Dimas - good for what it is, Pomona Valley Mining Company, Shogun - Pasadena or La Verne.....

Sorrento Grill a martini bar and restaurant in Laguna
Oh and there are just tooo many in San Juan Capistrano...
If you like Tapas type... I have soooo many all over OC and LA counties
That is my love... finding good new places to eat.
Husband always like Nortwoods, but I dont see what the big deal is. Plus the portions are way tooo big for me. I prefer the whole in the wall places.
Hope this helps a bit.

and good ol' Shugrue's... nothin' beats a teriyaki top and a mai tai, exp. when you roll up in the boat.

There are alot of great high end places, but where can you get a great meal for under $10? Then it becomes much easier to justify eating out.

The Hat is right by Lucilles. Turn the opposite way off the 57 and make the first left on State College. Best Pastrami I've ever had!
My vote is for Wood Ranch also. Great Tri Tip, and the Salads are pretty good too.

and Hooters!! Eat at all those places and Lucille's has to be the most unbelievable BBQ ever. Faro Lito does have impressive food, and home made tortillas...the bomb. Wood Ranch...love the smell of that place just going to the Target around the corner...the smell alone almost fills you up!!

My vote is for Wood Ranch also. Great Tri Tip, and the Salads are pretty good too.
I agree, BBQ Chicken Salad is yummy! I like to drizzle extra BBQ sauce over the salad.

Vince's Spaghetti !! They have one in Redlands, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, and i believe La Verne. Best pasta by far!! But stay close to a restroom, because within a few hours it will be ass-plosion time!

I too love Woodranch, but they have increased their prices to where they have become pretty expensive. I get either the tri-tip special with 2 sides Medium Rare, or the Tri-Tip Chicken Combo. My family gets food to go from there around once a week.

I grew up just around the corner from the one in San gabriel also. Come on Average. You can't beat the cheese bread and salads and my steak is always perfect and the baked potato with cheese butter mmmm good.

For Sushi and Teppanaki TSUMANI'S now that they got a full bar the place is really kickin.

Ken's has some good grub but the atmosphere reminds me of the inside of a mobile home, circa 1977. Im too distracted by the faux wood panelling to pay attention to the taste of the food.

Just the opposite for me. I've always been to busy pounding down sake and beer, that I have never noticed the panelling.:D :D :D

I will admit I got hammered in Ken's one night with a group of friends. I was teaching our chef how to crip walk and do the Harlem shake (hip hop moves for all my overly Caucasions friends)

My favorite for under $10 bucks is Mos2. They serve the best terryaki chicken with green onion anywhere. There are I think 3 of them around Orange County, one is by the Santa Ana DMV and another is in Anaheim on Lincoln. I don't remember where the other is?? Both I have been to would be considered "hole in the wall" resturants.:D

Don't ever go to Don Jose's in Anaheim Hills, Took a girl there last night,, very horrible food.:( Margaritas were so so.
Also don't ever go to Johnny Carino's in West Covina, shitty food and shitty service. :(
Ended up getting a waitress fired.
Just thought I'd throw out a warning.

This is a good list here except for Casa Del Rey. I hope you're not talking about the one in San Dimas.

Absolutely nothing short of phenomenal
Had Maestros last week. Definitely good food and good atmosphere. I think I prefer Flemings though.

Lunch = Blakes BBQ in Anaheim
PK Burgers in Brea
Lunch/Dinner = Bari Bari in Yorba Linda - Killer teppan style Japanese food (hidden secret is they serve lunch for about 1/2 price and its A LOT less crowded)
Dinner = Rodrigo's in Corona
SGC in Corona - Teppan japanese food

Fishbowl margaritas!!!! La Pregola for Italian and there is an awsome all you can eat sushi place forget name across from Arby's in an Asian strip mall, in Richmond, should'nt be too hard to find! Joe Forte's and the Canary or maybe Bridges if in downtown Van...... Guess being Hollywood North we are still on topic! :D
LA-for chick and car watching, plus food and free valet parking, Mels Dinner on Sunset. There was a good Sushi hole in the wall place near Redline (exotic car dealer) on Sunset, but they closed down.
Writting down other places as well. If near a Whole Foods Market I'll be needing a place to eat!!!! Whats good in Torrence?

We scheduled product demo in that store; the blondes I hired to hand out samples, got mad at me when driving out from Hollywood.
They saidyour going the wrong way, Valencia is South on 5
I replied:Are you sure?
Valencia oranges, its in orange county, duh replied the blondes..... I'm good at hiring... :)

Lunch/casual - Stadium brewery in Aliso V. (Salmon tower or chicken risiotto)
Italian - Cafe Allegre in Upland and La Verne
