It hurts really bad when you leave an 18V cordless drill on top of a 12' ladder, forget it is up there, and go to move the ladder. When the drill falls off the top and hits you square on the head, you see stars for a while.
However, if you have your sunglasses on your head it cushions the fall a little.
In this case, the drill broke too.
Sunday was a rough day. All to keep a boat in a garage.

Damn, sounds like you got lucky, it could have been a lot worse, glad it wasn't though.

WTF are you doing working with your hands?:D ;)
I thought you had a staff of 50 on hand to make sure you don't get your hands dirty.

My son did much the same with a fence post driver, sunglasses and all. Now he's got a scar the shape of his glasses on top his knoggin.
Glad you are still with us, I might need a new supply of DWnG soon ;)

Just be happy it didn't hit you anywhere that could have done some damage.*

On another note... you will be the slow boat this weekend since I cant make it. Sorry. :D
Sad part about this whole deal, I have a hanger I could keep the boat in for free. Only problem is that it is 40 minutes away from my house at Deer Valley airpark.

:D Bring it to the airport, and we may have to perform a ramp inspection:D possibly a check ride:D
Maybe it is because I got hit in the head, but for some reason I am not pickin' up what you are throwin' down. :)

LOL can't say that hasn't happened to me before....the only diff was it was an 8 footer. Could have been worse though, I saw one of the riggers working about 80 feet up have a crescent wrench fall out of his pocket and land a couple feet away from another guy on the ground. Now that would have sucked.

Use a lighter 12V drill;)
Switched to one with a cord for today and this coming weekend. This way if it is up there, I trip on the cord before allowing the drill to fall. :D Plus, they have a ton more power for drilling into the metal.
