I'm new to the site and the whole boating thing. I just got a boat about a month ago. It's an old Bayliner Capri, nothing special, but I think it will be fun. There are sure a whole lot of people on this site, so I think it will be a useful place to go for information.
Where do most of you go boating?
I live in both Las Vegas, Nevada and Cedar City, Utah so I will be going to Lake Mead, Sand Hollow, Quail Lake, and Lake Powell!

welcome... but if you are going to powell and expect to see the lake... you may want to carry extra fuel, its a long way between fuel stations for a smaller boat.

Here is a little advice:
1)Put sunscreen on before you leave the house (10 minutes in the sun equals a good burn for the rest of the week)
2)Bimini Top would make you the king in 113 degrees
3)Service your boat every year
4)replace your battery every two years
5)Don't forget to disconnect your battery at the end of the day.
