What is entailed in changing the boost settings on an older Race Aero TT setup, pre GT I believe but not 100% sure?
Looking at a TT running 8:1, 18#boost on 105 race gas. Wondering how difficult it is to "dial down" the boost for those "family tame trips". Cannot see burning 105 to putt putt around the lake for a weekend with family & friends of the more conservative nature... Would love to get into the pump gas range, perhaps with an additive, or 100 av-gas at least...
Is it just a boost setting? Wastegate adjustment? What about carb jetting? Is it even necessary if I am disciplined on the go fast pedal & boost gauge?
Thanks...

Agree with Bob, Mine does not build boost till 4,000 rpms. Stay below that and all i have is an 8-1 motor running on pump gas.

I have a 532 twin turbo in a jet deck boat that I run on 100 octane AV gas and run 16 pounds of boost and I take it on 100 mile rides at Mohave and the river. Just lay off the throttle and it won't see any boost. I can run 40 to 45 mph at 0 boost and 4100 rpm.

My twin turbo 540 runs 4100 no boost at around 90 you can change the springs so you only make a few pounds Mr brummitt has most all the parts. For just running around the lake 92 octane works fine.
