Someone on the boards blew the side of a suction housing out awhile ago.
I think they just bought the boat or something like that.
If this is you or someone knows who it is, please let me know.
I am building a part and I need a suction housing, so if anyone else has one, let me know.
Doesn't have to be good part even, I just need the front area, bearing housing and related parts.
Thanks,
Brian

There have been a handfull of guys here on the boards that have blown out their suction housings in the last couple of seasons. If I were to make an educated guess they probably trashed the old units because they were beyond repair. At least the ones that I saw were.

With any luck, maybe someone hung on to "trophies" like I do.

Cool deal. Exactly what I am looking for.
I didn't want someone taking apart a good pump for me.
I shouldn't need to do any machining on your housing.

Pretty much what I need, maybe I can drop by MPD and pick up a bearing and support.
I have been promising to drop by SD's shop as well.
I will try for this weekend.

Now that is a busted housing. Good thing you didn't have to fetch your boat off the bottom.

wish I would have known you could not get a hold of one.... I am just sitting in a hotel waiting for midnight so that I can go too work....I knew I should have tossed that into the back of the truck...

OT: What causes the suction housing to crack?

Pressure spikes, rock impacts, time, bad castings, hammer blows.
