:) we been a ford fan FOREVER but it was time to buy a new truck and we went with the dodge mega cab and we love it. we will never go back to ford again. It has LOTS of leg room and storge and can tow our boat with no problem. So how likes there dodge?http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w228/warlock_019/Picture142.jpg

I would buy the mega cab in a heartbeat if they would offer a long bed.

They are ugly. :)
I prefer my F150 SuperCrew anyday, there is plenty of legroom in there too, unless you are Paul Bunyon. :D

I've got an '06 mega 3/4 ton deisel and love it (when I'm towing). Any other time, it's a pain in the butt. I can't make U turns, it rides like crap without a load. I want to sell it, but I know that the it is the reason for the season (summer that is). Soon we will be towing again..... Maybe next week if all goes as planned!

Mopar fan here. If I can't find a good used rig I prolly get a new Mega too. My Cummins QC 4x4 was a good truck. Durango Hemi has been awesome. No complaints.

Never owned a Dodge and can't say I never would. Not a big fan of the "way plastic" interior but I gotta say this thread is better than all the "Toyota Tundra" threads.. I would own ANY American truck before I would buy a Jap truck.
Congrats on the new truck and I do love Dodge's rear leg room in the Mega Cap..:D

What year truck did you see that was way more plastic than Ford or GM? All interiors now are plastic. I think the new Laramie and Limited interiors are way nice.:)

My local Dodge dealer was practically giving his Megas away...tough sell around here. Now Nebraska, that's another story. :D
Also not a fan of the new Dash, new Headlight or Taillights...not at all.

True a lot of Plastic in the new Trucks...the 07 Tundra was loaded with it. I did like the dash layout better then the new Dodge but, what seemed like (hollow) plastic door handles really left me shaking my head...on a $42K vehicle!
Even with the plastic, the new F250's seemed a bit more solid and not so (delicate) on the inside.
Tough call...I'm sure their all good.

i've had a dodge truck sence 95 with the extra cab and deisel and it has been a good truck, but the interior was not as good as my nissan. the stearing wheel leather wear, driver seat i rebuilt 3 times ( i don't weigh that much 225lb) and just little nit sh^t stuff. but it does have 349,000 on her. but my next truck will be another Dodge Mega cab cummins and i hope they put the allision trany in that would be the package

The first or second year of the Mega Cab. The interior was all black and grey. It really looked cheap. The pic you posted is an up grade and it does look very nice, actually it looks very nice. You are right about all the other trucks having plastic but somehow (IMO) Chevy / GMC / (and yes Ford:rolleyes: ) seem to "church it up" more than Dodge. Like I said, I have seen many Dodge's I do like and would consider owning but I prefer the look of Chev / GMC. Well the Chevy truck's new body look like SH1t, so you never know...... Dodge just might turn me some day..:D

My '01 Quad Cab was a long bed and although I liked the truck, it was too long to wheel around in traffic and parking. We bought the '07 Quad cab in December and there were 2 reasons I DIDN'T buy the Megacab..... mainly because the wheelbase is the same as the QC longbed, and I couldn't justify the 5k more. VERY happy with the SB QC.... it rides so much better than the longer wheelbase, and (of course) the Hemi rocks.

I've got a 1998 12 valve cummins 4x4 extra cab with an ATS tranny. Probably the last truck I'll ever buy. It only has 80k miles on it. I've heard they can go to 400k.....I'll agree I think the new interiors suck... but I would never buy a jap truck.... or even a gas truck.....

Supposed to be coming out with a log bed version.
We're curious how the new Dodge automagic transmission is?

The new Chevys have all new, much improved quality interiors.
You can tell by looking at them.
We always get leather in our GM vech's.
I love leather, but cloth seems much quieter interior.

Our old Dodge (04.5 cummins, 4x4 quad cab). This truck was a TON of problems. In the shop every other week! Blew the motor, trans went bad, injectors, fuel rail, you name it and it broke. Plus the leg room sucked.

Now our new one on the other hand has been excellent! (06 cummins, mega cab, 3500 dually). Have 19k on it since october and havent had any issues yet! Love it! The leg room is unbelievable, waaay bigger than my f250 had.

I've got to say.....It nice not needing to ask "you got' enough room back there?" I can run with the seat all the way back with a 6.5' tall guy sitting behind me.
