Grand Canyon Help??? Going this week......

Going to run up to the Grand Canyon from Parker. Has anyone done this from Parker/Havasu? What is the best location to see the most or get the most out of the trip up? Planning to make it a one day trip, would like to get the most out of the day.

Thaks to everyones advise on this board, I took the train out of Williams and a bus tour once we got to the Canyon. It was a great trip:) We drove from Havasu to Williams in about 2 1/2 hours.
