Damnit! I had a speaker just above my new macbook (2 months old). It fell and now I have a spider crack on the LCD. Son of a bitch:mad:! Looks like I can get a new one for under $300 without labor, but I've never had a Mac apart yet. Anyone have an experience changing these out?

That sucks!!! I haven't had it happen YET....knock on wood!! If it did, I would take it up to The Mac Guys in Costa Mesa....they are the tops and an actually know their a$$e$ from a hole in the ground!!!

It shouldn't be too hard, I haven't done one in many years, but they are no different. Just take your time and everything will be alright.

I didn't think it'd be to hard to replace it. Anyone have hookups on replacement LCD's? The cheapest I've found so far is $299. I went to the Mac store this morning and I had one of the guys there tell me it was going to be around $900.
