NO DRAGS. NOT WORTH THE TRIP UNLESS YOU HAVE A BOAT TO RUN. I'D SAVE IT UP FOR RED ROCK...THEN YOU COULD PARTY ALL WEEKEND WITH EVERYONE. THAT WILL BE WELL WORTH YOUR DRIVE.

No Drags?? What are you thinking?? :) Every heat has a total of 8 drag races WITHOUT sissy drivers waiting for perfectly flat ripple free water!! :p :p :p Oh shit, did I say that out loud??? Uhhh... I take back the sissy part. :D :D

But.... the roundy rounds at Long Beach are some of the best races I've ever seen. And I've been to lots of races of all types.
If you ever get the chance to go to the beach and see the GNs, Crackers and SS boats (hey maybe even a few REAL K boats too) you really should do it. You can watch so close that you almost get wet!
It really is that good of an event. I'ed skip a winston cup race to go to the beach any day!
Don't sweet a bear cart, they let you bring coolers and even your gas grill if you want. No alcohol so a plastic cup is the way to go.
Somehow I've made plans to go to another event so I won't be there. First year I've missed it in a long time. Kinda bummed about that but I'm fired up for the CBBB even at the river.

What a great day at Long Beach. Pictures and Stories to follow. Bryant 1st Hamilton 2nd. I ran OK until the driveshaft cover came apart. Scott in ss126 ran and looked good. I forgot to put the sun screen on soon enough and have a beet red face. Still unloading the truck. Back soon.

See my post on the sandbar; But, I hung with E ticket (Gary) and wife, whatta day! Saw a bunch of old friends, watched a bunch of great races, nobody got hurt,( with one exception,CJ boat driver that got whacked by a GN nostalga boat) watched Art (gofastracer) beam with pride about his new (to him) GN 501 boat, got sunburned, tired, missed my afternoon nap, and loved every minute!!!!!!!!!......Monetpitt

Anyone hear about Rogers condition? I heard he was still in the Hospital. I was told it was just one of those racing accidents. Hope he is OK. How did the Nostalgia boats do? Sorry, I'm predjudiced and like the oldies....Dah. How may were there and did the flats run separate heats? smile_sp

Roger broke his arm he's O.K. :) Nosty's were seperated and it worked out well. If you look at the pictures on this thread you'll see Chuck Kraft in the yellow and orange "B" boat #134. He told me he would love to go to Washington and race his old friend George Nordling.
