Morg....Other than washing the boat he mows the lawn and does the garbage thing. He has been playing with the mig welder for a while now. Getting fairly good with it.
Smalls yes that is a queensland healer. Pepper was a very very very very very very smart dog and very very very very very protective of the kids. Recently he got into some poison and passed away. Kids are pretty upset so we ran out and just got another puppy. The new one is a dalmation/healer mix. So far its a pretty good dog.

They are both Akita's. Japanese bear hunting dogs. You won't believe this but Keesha the white female was being harrased by a heeler at our old place in CA. The heeler nipped her on the back leg, she spun around grabbed the heeler & pinned it. I have never seen a dog move so fast.

When I said I grew up around v-drives I was serious! :D Heres most of my dads boats but not quite all
This is a 1963 Spico. Picture taken in 1964. Pretty rare to see a motor all decked out in a flatbottom boat in 1964.
http://free.***boat.net/ubb/Avatars/Forum_Graphic_Depot/spico.JPG
Then to the 14ft Biesemeyers that my dad still loves to this day.. Dont know why, very dangerous and rough riding, but they ran 91 mph in the mid 60's. Picture on the right is from Canyon lake AZ. aka Biesemeyer point.
http://free.***boat.net/ubb/Avatars/Forum_Graphic_Depot/14ftbeis.JPG
Then the interesting boat. A 1969 Aqua Craft with a mohagony deck. Boat was taken to Rusty Biesemeyers shop and the bottom was splashed in early 70 something.
http://free.***boat.net/ubb/Avatars/Forum_Graphic_Depot/aquacraft.JPG
After a year or two, and although my mom threatened divorce, my dad cut the wood deck off the boat and added the new biesemeyer deck with the built in splashguard. A couple people I talk to(Steele) and the guy who used to or still runs the SS116 boat are quite familar with the history of this aquacraft and the current biesemeyer circle boats. Dont know if the splashed mold is still in use?? But it was used to make the cap which went back on my dads boat. Photo on the right is after he sold it to afriend somewhere in California..anyone know where its at now?
hmmmm. whos driving that boat??

Heres another good picture of the wood deck. I can see why my mom was pissed when he cut it off. This is on a Desert Boat and Ski Club display at the local Christown Mall in the early 70's. Never could figure out his white headers..?? Anyone recognize the K-50 boat on the bottom picture?

http://free.***boat.net/ubb/Avatars/Forum_Graphic_Depot/display.JPG Kurtis, back in the 70's they used to have a coating they called "Aluminizing", it was white and kind of a rough surface, the cool thing about them is that they cooled down almost instantly, the bad part was that you had to make sure your hands were perfectly clean when you touched them, otherwise, when you fired the motor your fingerprints will appear and you couldn't get them off...

I agree! the coolest post of them all! Kurtis, when Rusty splashed the Aqua-Crafts bottom, I assume he copied it, was it a four lapstrake gull bottom that Skip was making for Marathon-Ski racing? I used to have a SHARK Aqua and I'm told by Harlan Orrin that he made this circle boat mold in 68. People still argue with me that Rusty ever collaborated with Skip Volk on anything! You may have confirmed that for me. Anyway, we have a Shark up here that I'll try to post pictures of. Also do you know who made the wood deck? I agree with your Mother, that new deck ruined the boat! JeRk smile_sp

I agree with your Mother, that new deck ruined the boat! JeRk smile_sp JERK, I had about a 45 min. conversation with Julian the other day and he said Rusty had nothing to do with the Biesemeyer FLAT mold. Yes it came off of a AQUA CRAFT, but he said that him and Paul Edwards took Julians Aqua craft and extended the back by 6 inches and straightened the sides out with plywood. JUlian then went into how he got rid of the 4 lap strakes and put more of a entry in the bottom for turning. He also changed the chine area and then made the bottom mold off of that.He then went into the deck that we all know. A good friend of his came up with the splash shield which everyone figured would never come out of the mold clean, but it did. He also told me the story of how he came to accuire the Biesemeyer name(MISTAKE). Rusty's brother Bill Biesemeyer is the one that told him and Paul Edwards to start building boats, seeing as they were always hanging around the boat shop. Julian also told me that nobody, and he did mean(NOBODY) knows the the true story about Biesemeyer boats and how he became involved, But hopefully you all will shortly. :D :D :D

I've had it for 10 years now and feel like I could have circle the globe with as many hours I've spent behind it on my Andy Clark ski. Good thing my friends LOVE to drive it. Thanks! The boat is around 65 mph. Seems a little slow, but thats fast enough for me.( got another boat for that) The really sweet part about this boat is its reliability. In 10 years the motor, a 383 Chrysler, has never been taken apart and nothing has been fixed with the v-drive and running gear. The only problem I had was picking up a hat on an ear of the prop and bent the shaft and prop ear. Other than that nothing has gone out on it by itself. Impressive to me since it has spent hundreds of hours on Canyon and Apache lake here in AZ. My first three years owning it from May till October it was out at least 2 times a week, thanks to my sweet work schedule. Each time pulling three of us skiing constantly. I keep a three blade bronze prop on it, although I have 2 2-blade steel props this one is way better for skiing. The boat is the baddest ski machine alive in my opinion. Turn key everything...Thank God for my sake I'll never sell it. :D

Wish I could have held on to it but needed the cash for the boat I am building.
