I went to Granada Hills and picked up the Hydro.Left Sun.@5:30 AM and got there @ 1pm Mon.and was home on Wed.@ 4:30 pm.(I had in flight refueling). The sheep couldn't make it.Anyways it's a'86 Sanger Picklefork with 454 4 bolt 049 heads with a tunnel ram and two 660's,Cirelo mag,10deg. Casale. It was sitting outside for a while so the gelcoat is faded. The bottom has some delam issues but nothing that's not fixable.I drilled into the wood and the color was good.I gave him 2,500 for it so it's not pretty now.I will post pics when I find out how.Any ideas on the glass work?It must be break time.

Oh yeah,it's got a Dan Olsen wing.Does this thing need one?I have no idea what the other motor specs are at this point.

My first hydro was a 78 Sanger picklefork ski hydro that was used for drag racing by the guy i bought it from. It had a wing on it and the guy said it was because it would run in excess of 120 mph with inboard steering and the wing was on there to hold the tail down so it wouldnt swap ends at high speed.

I went and checked out that boat a while ago - is it shades of blue? - My buddy is looking for a wing if you want to sell that one - have you been able to turn the motor over yet -
very sweet deal for 2500 running or not- good luck

That be the one.Since I was going to be driving down from Montana I asked him many times if the bottom was in good shape.Oh yeah, solid he said.B.S.It has some delam issues. And he told he ran the motor.Another crock(jet boat guy).Anyways,as far as the wing,I'm not sure if I'll run it.It will be summer of '04 before I'm ready to run.I've got some pics, how do you post these bad boys?

Dat's nice. Way cool boat.
I tell you what, boats are real expensive and take alot of work to take care of. Bring it over here and I will take care of it. How did you find the hydro?

I found it on the recycler. It was in Granada Hills,Ca.3,000 miles in 4 days.I've got most of the hardware out it.Am going to finish stripping all of the 'glass off the floor in the morning. It had some delam issues.I think some tweekers owned it at one time. There is some pretty okied rigging. It's a shame that some people don't love there stuff.I myself am a sick man.
