What is happening on McCulloch 5/4-5/6? I saw signs that said it was closed between Smoketree and Acoma.

Maybe its the 3 on 3 hoop event that the city is advertising nationally, just great isnt it???? NSF

There is a "Hoop it Up" Street Basketball Tournament this weekend. I guess there are teams coming from all over the place, as well as a lot of local folks. They are turning McCulloch into several basketball courts.

Hopefully it won't turn into a shoot-it-up 3 on 3 gang tournament.

Hopefully there won't be any trouble. There are a lot of kids teams entered. They have teams from 8 years old and up.

I'm all for the city promoting events that bring money into the city, as long as it doesn't compromise the quality of life here.
Hopefully it will be a good event.
