I have always watched the speed ski races out in Parker and admired the setups but I have to admit I know very little about it.
I was wondering if you guys knew where to get more information on the sport.
I'm particularly interested in learning about the different classes that you can enter. Blown, Unblown etc..
I'd really like to take a look at the rules in regards to both race rules, as well as rules for the boats. (What size motors, boost, and fuel requirements etc..)
And finally if anyone knows a good spot other then the races to speak to the actual builders of the boats about setups and some of the +'s and -'s of different configurations..
Thanks in advance!

Dave,
I think burtandnancy could also help, I believe he has/had some involvement.
My foray into this was years ago when I was young and living in another country therefore not relevant.
I owned this in 1993.

Superdave is correct, check out nwsra.net Its pretty much up to date.
Seems funny to find me mentioned in the V-Drive section, but I had a lot of fun and ski race wins with v-drives and still love them. Todays boats with dri-sumped #6's, 572 cu in EFI'd, multi trim tabbed boats are something else. I still test them on occassion for Gary Teague out of Montclair
This years catalina is comeing up Aug 10 and I'll predict Marti Wells behind Randy Davis will do very well; my sleeper for the year will be Marshall Cole behind Ron Tesarski. Great jr skier. Hope to see a lot of you at the Queen Mary from 8 to 9 am on Aug 10...
