ok, we bought a used (electric)golf cart. it has a speed govenor where basically if you push the throttle in any more than half way the motor kicks out. i was told that it's a "simple adjustment" to put it back to where you have full throttle range again. the only thing that i see as mechanically adjustable is the throttle linkage. that didn't seem to do anything so i put it back the way it was.
so, my question is how do i make this thing run the way i want it to with a whole throttle range instead of topping out at 8 miles per hour?? Help!:D
thankyou -Jas

You can't........it's a POS. I can come rid you of the headache, and take it off your hands if you'd like.

Maybe you just need a good electrician to look at it, and tell you what's wrong. ;)

install a bigger controller. a 400 amp should do good and then get a bigger motor or have the winding changed in the motor you have to take it from a 2hp to 4 hp. thier you just spent $500. bucks and change the wires to 2/0 while your at it. make them yourself for another $100.........sp>not a guru but have done the elec g/c thing

New rule, the BLM Rangers just told us can't operate Rhino/mule/ranger style vehicles in BLM leased campgrounds like Emerald Cove/Rio/Rivera/Benders ect.
They have to be tow'd or hauled to OHV areas.
GolfCarts are grandfathered in.
No kidding, the Rangers just left our site.

Street legal vehicles fall under different rules. You're OK.
