I have done alot of my own polishing. In fact I should get back to parts I have started and not finished. It isn't that hard to do, but you sure have to like dirt and getting dirty!

Hey e-ticket, looks like your movin' right along. Close to being done with mine. I've been up at Casitas doing a little test and tuning. I need to do a little polishing on my driveline cover. What do you use for compounds on aluminum?

I don't have that boat anymore. Moving onto something else.
Sorry, I didn't really answer your question. I use a red (brown) bar called tripoli and spiral buffing pad on my buffer.

I think I made a mistake. I got tired of polishing (Where's the kids) so I had everything Powercoated. I don't know how hard it is to remove, but I might do it.

I use those twistlock Scothbrite pads first(where possible) to get the deep stuff. Then use the Tripoli then the white stuff. It's a lot of dirty work, but it's winter.
