I try not to be but its hard... I am more emotionally attached to my 13' Boston Whaler than I am my 27' Day Cruiser.

I had sold my HydroStream to one of my best friends back in 99... kicked myself in the ass for it quite a few times. In the summer of 2000 I finally talked him into selling it back to me, as he was only able to use it once or twice a year anyway. He told me that he knew how much I loved that boat, and he just wouldn't feel right if he didn't sell it back to me. We worked out the deal... and two weeks later he had an accident on the job and died.:( His wife told me at the funeral how much Tony always liked that boat, but he didn't have the heart to keep it knowing how much it and our friendship meant to us... I'll never sell it again... It always reminds me of the good times we had, and I know he's up there smiling down on us as we're ripping across the lake on those hot summer days...:D

I have worked a lot of years to get the kind of boat I like, and now that I have it I am attached not only emotionally but financially. What I have in it I could never get out of it. Besides, who would want a boat that is called "THIS BOAT IS UUUGLY"

well we haven't really had time to get emotionally attatched as of yet but Mr. Vee was attatched to the 29 we had and he would out of the blue say
" O.K baby, we are going to see each other this weekend.":jawdrop:
If it wasn't a boat I would think something other.:D :D

We bought ours new in 1979, my Dad had it for a bit, then we got it back. 3 paint jobs, 3 interiors, and a half a dozen or so motors later:) I'm keeping it and when I'm done with it finally, I'm going to cry as I take the Sawsall to it :(

It's hard for me to become emotionally attached to her when I know she just wants me for my money.

I had a 18 Mirage Jaguar that I still kick myself int he ass for selling.:( Every boat between then and now were no big deal. I have alot of time and money invested in my current boat and it would be very tough for me to sell. Even if I would win the lottery, this is the boat I would have.

Yes.........I am very attached to my boat. Eliminator 236 Eagle with 502Mag and 350 something hours. I am trying to part with her, but she has been sooo good to me. Between that and busting out another 50 grand to get the same thing but a little newer.............I think I'll keep on thinking about selling :)
I'm not sure what its worth, but if I could narrow the gap between mine sold and purchasing new, I'd give probably pull the trigger

We love our current boat, but definitely not attached to it.
Our first boat was a 2005 Moomba Wake boat. I was more attached to that one since it was our first boat. Man, some good times on that thing. Beat the shit out of us though, thats why we got more into the Hot boat thing. Faster, better in rough water, etc.

My dad told me there are two things you don't loan out;
your wife/girlfriend,
or anything with a motor!!
too easy to throw a rod in either one:jawdrop:

I bought my boat new in 1988, and today wouldn't hesitate in selling it.
I'm getting way more in scuba than skiiing anyway.
the only catch: If I did sell my boat, I don't ever want to see it again.

I have a friend that keep trying to talk me into a pontoon. No way. I'm own my dream boat. Cold day hell before I'd sell it. But there is a price for everything. And if it did get sold, I don't ever want to see it again. Nothing worse then hanging with friends out in Havasu and their old boat goes by. Happens every weekend. To me that would suck.

I'm one of those suckers that gets emotionally attached to cars, boats, etc.
Our SkiSanger is nothing special, but I would be hard pressed to sell it.
When I sold my last sand rail, one I'd built from scratch, I was bummed, doubly so becasue I knew I could never do it again. (Bad Back)
I sold it to a guy in another town, 75 miles away, hoping to never see it again. Seen it twice since then, looks like crap; filthy, out of tune, etc. Apparently it has sold twice more because it scares people.
New rule is to sell cars/boats to people who live at least one state away.
