The Phoenix Dirt Wall thread got me digging around and I ran across these. These were taken in Havi last August. Being from So Cal, I really enjoy "weather" like this.....unless I'm caught on the lake!!

On the bottom photo from left to right the 5th boat over next to the jetski swamped completely and the 8th boat the wht Fountain took on a LOT of water.

I almost forgot, during that storm, the big canopy that covered the docks where they rent the waverunners was ripped off the dock by the wind and dropped on the Naked Turtle. Nobody was hurt.

I was there for one of the shitty days like the one you showed, my fricken 100lb BBQ wound up rolling down the street four houses away!

I also heard that a boat in the cove sunk. It was a brand new boat and it was his first time out with it. Even though I didn't have my own boat there, I felt that being a boat owner I was compelled to help the other boat owners save their boats instead of just watching.

There is a reason why boats and ships go to sea during storms. If you can not get your boat out of the water all together which is the best thing to do, and are afraid to take it out, at least point the noses towards the rough water. I swear, all boat owners should have to take a course and apply for a license to operate boats. What a waste of perfectly good boats.

I agree with you. I told a few to turn their boats around but nobody would listen. All were saying "Bow In" instead of Bow Out
