Grim,
Will Hemi plates work???

grimreaper
04-19-2002, 09:17 PM
smalls - I am not using the Hemi....BB Mopar.....normally considered 383-440 wedge motor.
Hemi plates work?.....NOT sure - I would have to see them....do they mount off the back and front of the motor OR off of the automotive mount area?

Mike,
The Hemi went to a friend who then sold it to a guy for a street rod. It was nice lookin but not enough HP.
We just put Preachers mew motor in last weekend, Sound pretty good. It's another 505 BBC and still on the bottle. I am not sure how to post a picture on here?

smalls,
The swap meet was pretty good. There was about 20 people selling stuff and there was several boats for sale. Prices were very fair compared to other swap meets I've been to. They also had a free BBQ. I bought several parts I needed and some I didn't need, like a bitchin set of Hillborn Fuel Injection for a BBC. Price was way too good to pass up!
I also got to meet "058" in person finally. It was fun to BS with him about boats and walk around the meet... He bought a Castle V-drive in a (apart in a box) that was a hell of a deal. I always find very good bargins every year and highly recommend going if you live in the area.

058,
What was the name of that runner hull that was for sale at Weavers. Was it Wreckerts or Records? I never heard of it but you seemed familiar with it. Grimreaper is looking for a boat and trailer combo and that looked like a pretty reasonable deal.

S&S, It was a "Record" a 1972 runner bottom....sort of. Not exactly a true runner, but a combo flat/runner if you look at the plate set-up. Nice looking boat and a fair deal for 3-3.5K. I thought about buying it but I have too much on my plate now, don't want to get buried under more projects.
