I just heard on the news that there is a fire on Catalina

I can see the smoke from my house and from work earlier this evening. Looks like its going pretty good.

News on the radio this morning said is 10X worse than the Griffith Park Fire.

This is what I do for a living, I make sure Fireman and resources get to large fires in Southern CA. I have sent numerous resources there and as of this am its at 4,000 ac's, pretty big. We are getting a big handle on it this AM, planes are already flying.

We got some equipment on an LCAC at 0530. Still have a bunch of stuff staged at Camp Pen, waiting to go. Avalon is looking pretty good so let's hope they knock it down around the Airport...
