Lost Lake is on Reservation Land. At least CRIT claims it as Reservation land. The issue is in litigation. In any event, you can't buy property. The Resort is a CRIT Lease, and you rent the dirt from the Lost Lake management, but you can buy and own your own mobile home there. Just not the land.

I would wait, find some deeded land on the strip. The prices in some of the communities are getting back to a reasonable price.

It has to do with the wording and definitions of the CRIT Reservation Boundary, and goes back to the 1800's. I'm not going to get into all the disputes, but it has to do with whether the Boundary is at the River itself, or the "riparian area" around the river, which would place the boundary somewhere up around the bluffs to the west of the River.
The matter still waits to be resolved in the Federal Courts, but so far the Tribe has waived the banner of "Sovereign Immunity", so while the courts have pretty much agreed that the River itself is the boundary, no court, so far, has been willing to rule in any party's favor, due to jurisdiction issues. It will be put in front of the Supreme Court AGAIN, but even then, I think they will throw it back to Congress to settle the issue.
Even if it's decided that the land is NOT reservation, it still will be Federal Land, under BLM jurisdiction, and anyone there will still be subject to Federal Lease provisions.
If you have the time and desire to read about the whole situation, you can read about it here: http://members.cox.net/westbank/Dispute.htm
