with a dark color like that its will most likly still show... peel one corner and see how bad. if its not bad normally you can rub it out.

I do it all the time......heat gun....blow dryer in a pinch.....softens the vinyl..they will peel right off...the glue will remain.....3m general purpose adhesive cleaner will remove the glue......a quick buffing will remove any discoloration.

If any fading happened it likely is the trailer...but being that its not on a overly sun exposed surface your chances are very good all will be fine........follow instructions as written by JBB

I took it off my old boat but the gel was white. I didn't have any problems though.

I don't think he has enough orange for his own designated spot. He'll be on the list at any rate though. ;)

I took the Extreme stickers off my trailer after 4 year, with a hair dryer and my fingers to roll the glue off. It faded just a little, but you have to be really looking for it to notice.

2 points here:
#1. I don't see any with Grad's Liger on them. :notam:
#2. Why does it seem as though Pastie Cove (based upon where the star is in the drawing) is out on a point???

I personally would use a d/a sander with maybe 80 or 100 grit to start with. Follow up with some good compound afterwords .........:jawdrop: :D
Heat gun works wonders.;)

Go out to your snap on or mac tool truck and ask them for the "DECAL ERASER" It attaches to a da sander and WIL NOT mar your gel coat. I have used several of them and never had any problems, you will have to buff out the gel if there is a slight fad.
Im not sure it is called a decal eraser but he will know what you mean.

Easy Off oven cleaner works the best. Do not use a heat gun to high a temp will definitely risk burning/discoloring your gelcoat coloration.
EZ-Off Oven Cleaner---Try it on the trailer first and see how you like it. If decals have been baked on to long then 3M makes an eraser wheel that will peel the stuff right off without hurting the gel.
KAP
P.S. Any good automotive paint shop will have the 3M eraser wheel.

Any automotive store that sells auto paint can or will get you one of these and once you've tried it you will never use anything else. It's called a eraser wheel.

so I went to Home Depot and couldn't find an eraser wheel. got some Goof Off and that seemed to work the best. Cleaned it all up and through on some Quickie Sauce. Here's the results:

When I removed the emblem from both my trucks I used a little GooGone and then a quick wash(truck was dirty when I started :-) ). Worked good for me to get the stickey off.
