This motor in a 24' laveycraft. What can I expect to see (performance)? What can I do to add horsepower?

I had a 98 Baja H2X 24' with the 7.4 300 hp carb. motor, it would run 62-63 mph gps with 2 people and 1/2 tank fuel. The 7.4L motors are limited in performance options due to cast crank & pistons. You could put a whipple or procharger on it at low boost and improve performance, but $$$.

What are the differences between a Whipple & Pro Charger?

Do a search and you will find tons of info on both, it appears that most prefer a whipple. Is the motor in question carb or efi?
