I was stripping paint on my Berkeley transom plate and remove the steering cable tube. My original tube is in bad shape. The outer threads and nut are corroded, where can I get a replacement?

I'm pretty sure rex, CP, JBP, HTP, and many others will have what you need.

I just purchased a new steering cable support tube a Mecr. outboard dealer for $32. with one nut. With little modification the merc tube worked perfect for me. I had to cut it down on a lathe and thread 1" of the end of the tube for a greasable packing nut.
Teleflex sells an aluminum and a stainless tube. But the teleflex tubes did not have enough threads to pass through my transom adapter.
Cutting threads in the aluminum tube was a biotch!

I'm a Merc dealer and what we had no luck on the longer one(for a jetovator) use rex.

Don't be such a whiner.:) :)
Try 304 stainless.
