twin 540's bowtie blocks merlin cast iron
rectangular port heads 9.5 to 1 compression with merlin single plane intakes #WRL063033 Domintor carbs.
Bassett water jacketed headers.
QUESTION Theses new intakes do not have improvisions for thermostats they have a divider in the hole where the thermostat
would be Will the engines receave enough
water to cool without the restriction of the thermostat. Please reply

I run a 588 with no t-stat and a stock Bravo water pump. Motor runs cold. I even preheat with an oil cooler and the exhaust manifolds before the block just to try and get some temp reading. The fact that the water is flowing faster through the engine without the t-stat increases the cooling ability because the temp differential between the water and the metal is greater, resulting in an increased heat transfer rate.

Just take a grinder, and remove the divider it is very simple.

The lack of a thermostat isn't a problem unless you run a radiator like a car. The reason for the divider is so you can run two separate water outlets (one from each side) and two water temp gages. In my case for instance, with a Hilborn FI, it's a valuable throttle balancing tool. The side that's lean will run slightly hotter.
