Best advice is to "try to buy what he has".
Look at your local Cycle Trader and on Craig's List (craigslist.org) and see what's out there that may be similar to what he has.

Depends on the year and condition. A lot of them come to the dealers in lots from golf courses and are quite inexpensive. NSF
