I believe that the molds for this boat were on ebay not too long ago...
I don't know much about those boats but for <20k I think it looks like a great boat.

Get the VIN number and give Jerry at Hallett a call. See if they have any maintenance records. I love my 270.

You're reffering to the Howard 25 Offshore, Hallett still has the molds to the 240. There was a thread about this a few months back.

You know Jerry too :D
If you like the boat & the price is good for you, then buy it. You can always upgrade the motor & drive. I've ridden in a couple 240's (closed bow & open bow) and they are nice, I just happen to like the 270 a bit more. note: Hallett doesn't build a closed bow version of the 240 any more.
My $.02 BUY IT!!!

And I still have my 95' 21 210...still rock solid, except for the piece of windshield which snapped off cuz the boat flexed some damn hard after running it in the SCOPE poker run, in the ocean...on one of those days where i was getting lost in troughs of blue...man, good times:sqeyes: :D
Looks like they updated the gauge package, see what else they did.
