For those of us that live in Orange County, this tragedy is just unimaginable - all three young children from one family were killed in a car wreck on the I-5. If anyone in the OC can drive just a little bit to help, your generosity will benefit the mother and father that no longer have a family.
Anyone want to join me at Rubio's, today?

Each of the restaurants listed is donating a % of sales each day. Did the post not show up?

Yes, it truly is a sad, sad deal. There are pink and blue ribbons everywhere, tied around trees, fences, and on cars out where I live. The Oso overpass off the 5 has a little memorial set up on the bridge. I well up every day when I drive across the bridge. Not sure if I could handle a shot like that and I hate just thinking about it.
My prayers are with the family and everyone involved.

What a horrible tragedy. My thoughts and prayers go to the family during this trying time. To have your children taken away in the blink of an eye will test the will and courage of anyone. God Bless

If you are planning on going to one of the fundraisers, get there early! Went to Jojo's Pizza last night and weighted 2 hours for a pizza! The cause was worth it, but how I wish I would have called ahead. Its okay though, cuz today I have leftovers.

I will not be able to make it to any of the establishments so:
I will be sending a donation here:
Donations to help the family can be made at any Washington Mutual branch, or a check can be mailed to Washington Mutual, 25692 Crown Valley Parkway, Suite J2, Ladera Ranch 92694. Checks should be made out to "James Maestri FBO Coble Family Account 3951107470."
We were caught in this traffic and trying to leave from Mission Viejo to get to San Clemente state beach to camp for almost 2 hrs. At the time we had not idea other than it was a large accident.
When we returned home on the 7th and read what had happened I felt and still do feel like a major ass being pissed at the "stuck in the traffic" selfishness I was feeling on that Friday.
We all here at our family really feel for these parents.
And yes if it were my kids I just wouldn't know how to go on.:(

I cry everytime I read this horrible tragedy....
My thoughts & prayers are with everyone who knows them!!!
Donation will be made soon....
** On another note, I work for a financial advisor and after realizing I could or any one of us could lose our children in a freak accident I decided to cancel there college funds and took out a VUL (variable universal Life insurance policy). I'm a proud parent of 2 kids and if I lost 1 or both, there is NO way I could just pick up the pieces and go back to work. I have a 10yr. girl and 8yr boy. $250,000.00 on each kid and it cost $ 175.00 a month. $15.00 each is for insurance and the rest of the money gets invested into different funds, so if they still want to go to college there is some money there to help them out.
I hope the parents will be able to stay strong for their 3 little Angels....
Okay enough said I'm crying so hard right now my eyes are so red...
Love your kids no matter what....I love mine...
