hi,
i am new to "speed" boat world.... the only thing my family believes a boat is for is to move you from one fishing spot to the next!
i am starting a boat building project ( an 11 foot speed boat ) and eventually want to build a larger boat and give this one to my kids.
the plans i purchased state that for recreational use the boat is rated at a 15hp motor.......many people on-line have ran this particullar boat with up to 50 hp (with some modification)
my question is.....
in the state of texas, is it illegal to run a motor larger than the id tag says?
