So i had a customer come into today needing gaskets for a 75, 455 olds. Yea, that caught my attention. One of the other guys helped him, as im listening to this story the guy is telling im trying not to bust up laughing.
He proceeds to tell the other counter guy that its going in a jet boat and that they pulled it out of a car. Big big cam and big dome pistons, all the goodies. Here comes the kicker, he tells the counter guy that once they put this motor in the lil 19ft jet boat its going to RUN 90 PLUS. I about fell out, it took all i had not to bust up laughing.

The dome piston comment gave it away cause they dont have dome pistons for Olds.

Any of the larger custom piston mfgrs will make dome pistons for Olds or just about anything else. If he is the guy that bought my 71 Cutlass, he WILL have the last laugh. It ran mid 10s at 126 in a 3800 lb car, through the Dynomax muffs, on Hoosier tires, with a 3500 stall convertor,3.73 gears,pwr steering and brakes. Driving it to Speedworld (about 31 miles from here). You don't have to be smart to buy somthing. I hope he puts a big boat pan on it, and does the drainback mods(not required in a street/strip car). or mebbie he's just some other clown.... TIMINATOR

He didnt say anything other then they took it out of a car and that it should run great. No need to do any mods to it as it has all the goodies as he put it.
