Don't need all that... My Ipod adapter goes to the bottom of the Ipod, so all you need is the extension cable. Make it go into the IPod headphone jack on the one end, and your system on the other.
If you split it, you reduce the volume by half I have found. You need to turn it up into distortion unless you use a line amplifier.
Problem solved. This is officially going to be off the hook now. I can't imagine how loud the two boats together are going to be...

Matt has more 6x9's, so it has a bit more presence in the boat, but the forward facing components and four subs in mine boil water...
It should be somewhat epic... :D

I record all of my MP4's at 328, which is near CD quality, and with a hard-wired adapter it should be as good as we can get. Plus, as I recall Matt's connection is on the port side of his boat, with mine on the starboard side. About 12 feet away is where my bass is fully developed, so folks in Matt's boat will be getting fillings knocked loose, same in mine from his. This will be like a perfect storm of audio! :D

I've heard a couple boats louder than mine. One is the "phat sac" boat out of Vegas with "Rehab" on the transom. That is the loudest single audio system I have ever heard, on or off the water. Over 150db anywhere in the boat not pinned.
I heard there is a seriously loud Spectre running around too.
We are no match for full on audio boats. Too much concentration of energy. Multiple amps, more subs and speakers etc... But, ours comes equipped that way from the factory, with a warranty and will play for damn near 9 hours without a charge. You have to choose your battles.
A boat designed purely for audio will probably get it's ass handed to it on the top end by us though... ;) Ours hits in the 128db range, but runs over 90...

I was parked in front of the Agave Inn condo's about a month ago and there was a white Spectre blasting his tunes. Definitely the loudest stereo I've heard on a boat. I don't know if you guys have seen/heard the stereo, but if you have, are your guys tunes louder than that boat?
Ive seen that guy out there a few times. Its got 2 15" subs, a ton of mids and highs, two horns, and a generator to power it. Its pretty bada$$!!

I've heard a couple boats louder than mine. One is the "phat sac" boat out of Vegas with "Rehab" on the transom. That is the loudest single audio system I have ever heard, on or off the water. Over 150db anywhere in the boat not pinned.
I heard there is a seriously loud Spectre running around too.

Yea the Phat Sac boat is owned by Lanny. He is a friend of ours and he usually parties in the channel but he will be at Crazy Horse this weekend. He is good people..

Don't look for our boat... :( I just pulled the plug on dragging the prototype up there. It is so rough compared to the production boats we are building that I felt it would be showing up to look bad. Additionally, the single jet experiment just isn't up to the job. It doesn't have a positive reverse, and with this weekend's traffic I don't want to risk it.
So, for the first time in a couple of years I will actually get to go the river and party!
