I'm sick to my stomach...
Somebody posted up here a while back that they get that sick feeling everytime they make a big purchase. Well, I get the same way. I guess I am just such a tight-ass:D that I hate to spend any money on toys. I always feel a little guilty. My wife reminded me that I work hard and that I deserve it. I guess that is one reason why we have been married for 16 years, she is great about the moral support.
Well, enough about that. Here is the new toy. After looking at umpteen overpriced POS used Suburbans and trucks I finally got frustrated and just got a new one. Its a 2007 5.9 Diesel Mega 4x4. An absolutely incredible deal that got me deep below invoice BEFORE the rebate. If anybody is local and needs a new Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler let me know. My salesman was great. Did the deal over the phone and went down and picked it up. PM me if you need a hook-up.
Now, I have to go drink:D

OK, I'm over it. Six silvers and a little jacuzzi and I'm brand new. I think the long day just caught up with me.
It's all good.

Nice truck, I had a dodge diesel, you'll love the thing. The cumins makes TONS of torque. It was the first truck I ever drove that accelerated in overdrive up a hill pulling a 32 foot travel trailer. I miss that truck! My little nissan just doesn't haul the mail like that dodge did.

P.s. But my old ass ford that Im refurbishing is gonna have a cumins in it!

I thought only the 3500's had the 6.7. I been wrong before...what's once more??
Nice truck. The M/C has got to be one of the best ideas to date! Out of all the trucks I have beat to tears..my 06 3500 M/C Laramie Doolie is holding up better than all of em at 24000 km's Only downfall is the seats could be made a bit softer!

Nice truck. I was thinking about selling the 06 Duramax and going with a Mega Cab. Do you mind if I ask how much you paid for it? Thanks

Thanks for the compliments. Its a loaded SLT. The Laramie was out of my comfort zone price wise. We ended up adding the Katzkins leather so it looks just like a Laramie. The leather wont be in for a few weeks. The stock cloth looks kinda cheesy.
We had a 2003 Ram but it was hit by two vehicles (other's fault) and we ended up getting rid of it after that. It was a nice truck but there was no room in the back.

Oh, and the 6.7 is available now in the 2500 and 3500 series. If you order, you have to get a 6.7. There are limited 5.9's left on the lots. The 6.7 is getting mixed reviews on the forums. Basically it is an emission motor so it makes similar power with more displacement and worse fuel economy. The pluses are 6 speed auto and exhaust brake. My price would have been about $3,000 more for the same truck so it was an easy decision.

John, once you tow your Cobalt with that truck the buyers remorse will disappear immediately.
Besides, the kids will be fine going to community college. :D

No remorse now, especially with the deal I got. I just had about 3 hours sleep and had a very long day that day. I think it just caught up with me, a little too much going on.
I seem to have no problem spending money on the wife and kids but always feel selfish when I buy myself stuff. Guess I just gotta chill a little. I still owe you lunch so let me know when is good.

Well, for what its worth, your truck looks very clean and well maintained. We were very close to makin' a deal but I am sure that someone else will get a nice truck. I just hope you don't end up selling it for below what I offered you:D Then I would feel like I missed out on an even better deal than I made on the new one.
Good luck and be sure to stop by for a cold brew when you get in town.

the '99 Super Duty is getting lots of squeaks and rattles, and I saw a '07 Cummins powered Dodge quad-cab 4x4 with long box listed for 42k nearby...I like the mega cab but I need the long box for the hauling I do....I hate the thought of payments, but we MITE do it....

You should be able to get a Quad Cab LB 4x4 5.9 for about $11-12k below sticker. They can't give them away. $42k is way too much. Do your homework. There are some deals out there.

I thought that was rediculously priced at 42k  ... someone here works at Frahm in Norco, I can't remember who though..mebbe I'll stagger by there this weekend and looky-see. If the payments aren't through the roof....MAYBE I can convince the wife we need a new one. MY Dad in law is sold on the Dodge.. I've never owned one, so it'll be #1 if I do it.
