Cut grass Saturday, came down with a cold & took it easy Sunday. Wish I'da been "thrashin" on that avatar of your's! LOL

I wired up my water temp sender, oil pressure sender and mounted my place diverter controller. I would have mounted my oil temp sender too but my overpriced olsen pan only came with one bung and its got oil in it already...:mad: Taking wagers to see how much royal purple I lose.:idea:

I'm a mechanic.....that's me in the background grabbing tools out of my box.
I attended my first 500 in 1968 when I was 11......been working on cars and boats since I was a kid.
I got to know a guy named Greg Ray through boating, and he started driving open wheel cars in 1993. In 1997 he went to Indy and in 1999 he was hired to take over the IRL seat vacated by Tony Stewart when Tony went to NASCAR. Greg won the '99 IRL championship, a few races, and the pole at Indy in 2000......outdrove a guy named Juan Pablo Montoya for that honor. Greg started on the front row at Indy 1998-2000.
When Greg started his own team in 2003, I started going to every race to help out. Did that in 2004 also. Greg dropped out of racing because of sponsorship issues. In those two years I learned enough to be dangerous.:D
In 2005 I was the chief mechanic on an Indy Pro Series entry at Indy...sorta the Busch series of the IRL. We qualified third but the driver crashed early in the race. The crew chief on that deal called me at the end of April with this deal......I packed my tools and took three weeks off work.
We have no money.....but a good driver and car owner. Shit, it's INDY.....even qualifying 31st is OK with me.
Every day at the Speedway I think about how lucky I am to be there.....it's like the Cathedral of Speed and I'm attending church......:D :D
